PROTECT IP Act Breaks The Internet #Anonymous #AnonOps

On November 16, Congressional hearings for the U.S. Senate and House bills PROTECT IP Act (Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act) and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) begun. The PROTECT IP Act and SOPA are supposed to give the government and copyright holders enough authority to block Internet access to websites that infringe on copyrights.

 

 

Many are aware that the PROTECT IP Act, which would cost taxpayers $47 million a year, particularly could allow the government to exert power and shut down access to websites that it deems “illegal”.
