At 7:30 pm, the Denver Riot Police began to move in and requested the remaining protesters to clear Civic Center Park. The protesters peacefully reminded officers that they have until 11 pm to be there and hold their ground.

Protesters chanted a reminder that they are non-violent and requested that the DPD remain violent as well. Despite garbage trucks rolling off with the remnants of their camp, the protesters remained at the site.

Some protesters stated that ‘you can not kill an idea’.

Then at around 8 pm the police vacated the park area.

At 9:15 pm, three night shift police officers stopped by to state that the police were there  ”to keep the camp safe”. All stated that they were not part of the earlier actions taken by the riot police.

Authorities reiterated that the park had to be vacated by 11 pm except for the sidewalks which are good at all times..
