Despite what the police claim in their reports about the “need for force” and “two injured policemen”, there is no doubt that the Australian police officers immediately went violent on the several hundred non-violent Occupy Melbourne protesters who were camping in the city square.
Although the police insisted that they warned all protesters to remove themselves from the city square, many protesters who were dragged by the police and actually beaten shouted to news cameras that they were not warned at all and were quickly restrained without reason.
The police used capsicum spray, force, horses and police dogs to herd protesters out of the city square while picking off individual protesters who strayed behind.
Camp site shelters and other objects that are clearly not the property of the government were thrashed by the police.
Thanks to the violence wrought by the police, the Occupy Melbourne protests have been temporarily halted, but not for too long as we have all vowed from London to Taipei that we, the 99%, will NEVER stop.
We, Anonymous, warn the respectable Australian police officers in Melbourne that if violence breaks out on your part again, then we WILL take action.
We WILL reveal your personal information, we WILL get justice (as we did with the child porn sites) and there will be NOTHING you’d be able to do about it.
