Essentials For Next School Year: Styluses and Nintendo DS

In an interview with one of Nintendo’s famous software developers, Shigeru Miyamoto, the interviewed stated that he will be working on the Nintendo DS to be assimilated as a learning tool into the Japanese school system, specifically elementary and junior high schools. Before he went out to receive the Fellowship award at the 2010 British Academy of Film and Television Arts, he stated that he will be pursuing this goal along with the goal of expanding the Wii’s online influence.

In the gaming world, Shigeru Miyamoto is amusingly known for “accidently” inspiring numerous ideas by speaking to the Japanese media about his hobbies. His hobbies including solving puzzles, getting a physical workout, and high-level’ed game interaction produced many Nintendo products such as the Wii Fit. He inspired many..so many that Nintendo ’jokingly’ banned him from speaking to the media about his hobbies. His idea is similar to the concept of getting recent technology into the American school systems most notably the American ’experiments’ with the integration of iPhones and iTouches into college classrooms which achieved some success but received some criticism for reducing the importance of textbooks.

The Nintendo DS is originally for touch-games where you can control games such as the Legend of Zelda and even the highly-addicting Pokemon games to an extent with a stylus. It remains to be seen how Miyamoto will convert this portable game console into a device for academic purposes, but in prediction he may not completely erase the elements of a game from his learning software since it’s targetting the Japanese kids so learning should indeed be both fun and educational if this all works out.

Not so surprisingly, the Japanese government has already planned out to utilize the Nintendo DS even more in the public such as museums and aquariums as a virtual tour and has additionally planned to put the Nintendo DS into the junior high and elementary school systems for the 2010-2011 school year. Once again, it seems Shigeru Miyamoto has gotten away with spreading one of his idea fevers – nationwide; again.

I'll tell you what's essential for every school year…saving money on those damn textbooks. They get higher in price every semester. Literally. I'm lucky that I was able to findhttp://www.bigwords.com because this site saves me the money I should be saving at the campus bookstore but instead end up saving due to the site. It searches all the online textbook retailers and rental sites then compares all the lowest prices. So in the end, you find the best deal possible. It's great. It's essential to save that money for other things during school. So i suggest going to bigwords.com and start saving on your books.
