The iPad wonderful in some of its functions was challenged by the announcement of the HP-Slate Tablet in January, a vague announcement for its release to the public was made, “mid-2010″. The Hewlett-Packard Co. “Slate” Tablet has a feature that the Apple iPad does not. Adobe Flash. iPhones, iTouches, and iPads strangely do not contain nor support Flash or AIR. The majority of the Internet (over 90%) is supported by Flash. Videos, games, downloads, images(editting images/photoshop), web functions and so on will now be accessible in the HP-Slate Tablet.
Of course this differentiating feature offset arguements between those who tries to scale both the pros and cons between Apple’s iPad and HP’s Slate Tablets. A yet-to-see weakness of the HP Slate Tablet is perhaps the operating system of the tablet. Microsoft Windows 7. Important features supported by Adobe Flash of the HP Slate Tablet such as e-reader and Pandora/MP were shown in the commercials announcing the fog-clearing of the Slate Tablet. This big contrast (Flash & Non-Flash) is forcing once-too eager iPad buyers to rethink which product will be better. Meanwhile the Apple iPad still has the disadvantage and the advantage of having the App Store. Many apps are very useful but most of the time they cost over an amount users won’t go for (leading to some cases of “jailbreaking”) along with the fact that the iPad doesn’t really add more to your life as the iPhone did.
You can decide for yourself by watching the video below.
It will be a tough decision for consumers to decide between a HP-Slate Tablet and an Apple iPad.
Which will you choose?

Neither.
Both.
The slate would be great with a digitizer to write on it, a fairly powerful chip and long battery life. For sure I don’t need just an entertainment device: I don’t spend most of my day sitting and watching TV, or listening to music, or playing games, and I don’t want to take care of a smartphone, a notebook, a desktop and a pad/slate: that’s too much, it would drive me crazy to keep charging all the batteries and syncing stuff.
