Onl the 20th of July, 21CN in China reported that fake chicken wings were available for purchase in street markets. The colors, texture and appearance of the chicken wings were no different from the real chicken wings and unless you're a chicken wing expert, you can't find the differences.

Chao, the individual who found these 500 grams of fake chicken wings purchased them from a merchant at the local food market.
The price was cheaper than usual and Chao determined the wings to be genuine, because, hey, it smelled chicken chicken.
After he came back to his house and cookied the chicken wings that he bought, he couldn't taste the chicken as he chowed down on what felt like rubber.
Chao thought it was uncooked so he cooked the wings even more. However the color of the chicken meat was still red and Chao even found some sort of yellow liquid inside the meat.

The fake chicken wings were sent to the Anhui Agricultural University so a team could research and analyze the fake meat.
Professor Wang who participated in food technology for a long time couldn't find the qualitative differences between the fake and real chicken wings saying that, "These [fake] wings have chicken hair on it and if this fake, this is quite possibly the highest quality of fake chicken wings."
Wang noted through observations using the microscope the fake chicken wings didn't have the pore, a fibrous tissue and voluntary muscles normally found in chicken wings.
These chicken wings are still under inspection to find out if these are detrimental to a person's health. Some media in China claim that these chicken wings were made with a small amount of real chicken meat mixed with chemical compounds. After being mixed with water and put into a freezer, the fake chicken wings can be produced like in the picture above.
