We were supposed to finish the fight in Halo 3, but we were transported back in time to Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars & Halo: Reach to fight even more. Now, we’ll continue the fight from Halo 3 in Halo 4, announced for release on November 6 this year as the first of a new trilogy called the “Reclaimer Trilogy”. And it seems that this game will be as big or probably even bigger than any of its predecessors.
Under a new composer (Neil Davidge) and essentially the same core Bungie employees in 343 Industries, Halo 4 will mark the return of Master Chief who, according to released canon, has been in cryosleep for almost 5 freaking years since the UNSC light frigate Forward Unto Dawn was split into two when trying to escape the incomplete, titular Forerunner structure.
Last time we saw Master Chief was when his half of the Forward Unto Dawn was moving towards an unidentified planet or spherical construct of some sort which many speculated to be Onyx or perhaps the homeworld of Elites but now known to be “Requiem”, a “Dyson Sphere”.
There are a lot of questions such as: isn’t Cortana supposed to be “dead” as a result of AI rampancy, or did she become metastable? What will the Master Chief be saving the galaxy from this time if the Flood in our galaxy was presumably destroyed? Will we have to fight Elites & Grunts in the campaign? Why so? Hasn’t it been THREE years since the formation of the alliance between the Elite Separatists and the humans? You’d think the Arbiter would have made it back to his home by now. Will players be able to pilot Scarabs or any other similar machine of death at last? And a lot more other things.
Images of Halo 4 (courtesy of AllGamesBeta) have been leaked which are displaying a different HUD, a revamp of Spartan armor with some teaser shots of multiplayer maps and the return of the Elites & Grunts, albeit with different looks.
Halo 4 may also introduce a…gundam?

Since that robo looking thing is in a multiplayer map, it’s probably there just for show. But like the classic Pelican airship, it may make an appearance in the campaign.
